Enjoyed a full day of walking the city (9 miles according to Fit). Visited the Museum of Archaeology, Trinity College and the Book of Kells. Amazing craftsmanship, just beautiful what these monks did in 800 CE. Even more amazing is that it survived its journey until today given all the wars, fires and regime changes it went through. And of course, I made my Pilgrimage to the Guinness Storehouse. Arrived at 4:30 but this is a place where you could stay all day – tour, food and music. Oh, and beer!
I wasn’t sure I liked the city at first but I have changed my mind. It’s great for walking and it feels young with all the young people here. Not sure how the current economy is but I know a few years ago it was booming. Saw a few real estate offices and prices seem high (think Boston) for both apartments and houses. The weather has been great that helps. Looking forward to a historic walking tour of the city in an hour so i’m off!
Yo, Jay, I thought you were going to Spain?! Nice detour you made. No finer meal than a Guinness in Dublin, but try some Irish cider while you’re there. Good stuff. We’re enjoying Irish weather back here in Sudbury. Raining and 50 degrees. Cancelled golf. This is getting hold. Enjoy my family’s long ago homeland and take in a fine Irish Pub with music. Cheers!

Jim sounds like a fine start. The Irish are wonderful, welcoming people and the counties even more beautiful when the sun is shining.
May the “Son” shine upon you and guide you each day.
God Bless
Paul

Hi Jay, enjoying your comments and those of friends and family. Agree with Paul the Irish are welcoming people and the country beautiful. And of course every day is a “lovely day for a Guinness”. Onto France… Linda
